This year at Open House, the zero waste club had 4 waste stations along with a club booth. We educated people on how to properly separate their wastes into the compost, recycling, and landfill containers. Overall, we had a pretty successful day. It was disappointing however, how many booths were using non compostable or recyclable products.
Next year though, the zero waste club plans to have a member on the Open House committee that will mandate all booths to serve compostable or recyclable items!
